Dr. Jamila Battle is a compassionate and powerful woman tempered by fire. She struggled through many years of abuse without being destroyed.

She defied the odds, climbed out of the mayhem of her upbringing to achieve great success.

She earned her way to a prestigious university and then became a medical doctor with specialties in trauma (abuse), drug abuse and mental health.

She dedicates her life, love and passion not only to her family but also to helping those who have been wounded as she had been.

She brings you the shining light of possibility and true hope for you to experience “Reboot, Repair and Rebirth” in your life.

Born in Atlanta, she moved to LA at the age of 2. There she lived for 5 years and moved to Chattanooga, TN at the age of 7.

Raised in Chattanooga, TN, Dr. Battle went to a college preparatory high school called the Baylor School.

She attended Duke University for her undergraduate studies where she majored in Biology and Classical Studies and minored in Chemistry.

She then went to UNC-Chapel Hill for Medical School. Dr. Battle enjoyed all of her medical rotations and decided that Family Medicine was a great fit for her because it respects all facets of the human body and focuses instead on prevention.

Dr. Battle completed her residency training at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

After completion of her training, she decided to return to North Carolina where she served as a consulting associate at Duke University.

Dr. Battle, board certified in Family, Sleep and Addiction Medicine, is the creator of Reboot, Repair, Rebirth.

This innovative model aids women who have suffered trauma to truly forgive themselves so they can become fully integrated and capable of self-love.

Dr. Battle is passionate about wellness and prevention and enjoys all patient populations.

She believes the ability of the body, mind and spirit to repair itself is under-utilized. Uninterrupted sleep is the foundation for repair and restoration.

She currently serves as Medical Director at Parkway Sleep Center, a facility that provides consultation, testing and sleep related equipment.

There she also sees patients with full spectrum sleep disorders including but not limited to obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia and narcolepsy.

She also has experience in mental and behavioral health, quality assurance and utilization review.

Her dream is to integrate Family Medicine, Sleep and Addiction under one umbrella to serve the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of her clients.

She enjoys an individualized/patient-centered approach, which focuses on “YOU”.

In her spare time, she volunteers with at risk families and enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

She has achieved success despite adversity and motivates others to identify unique talents that they possess to help them succeed
